About Dr. Yohana
My resilience and passion for serving others were formed through overcoming insurmountable challenges in life, including the murder of my loved ones in the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. As a person of faith, I always felt firmly convinced, even as a child refugee, to be an agent of God's peace and justice. While in service (in the United States Navy), I got passionate about military resilience and the effects of combat trauma on the mental health of military veterans and their loved ones. I chose training and a career that would contribute to the healing of those affected by traumatic challenges resulting from visible and invisible wounds.
My education includes a bachelor's degree in biblical studies, a Master of Human Services Christian Counseling (Military Resilience), and a Doctor of Leadership in global perspective, where my doctoral focus was on trauma-informed leadership and Post-traumatic Growth.
I look forward to adding value and giving back to my global community with you.​​
